Creating a Group for your students


-Create a Group for your class.
-You can create a group for each
period (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd , etc.)
-Or for different subjects (i.e. US
History, World History, etc.)
-You can also create one group for
all the students in your classes so
they can connect


1. Click on the + symbol, then click CREATE

3. Select your subject
4. Click CREATE

1. Write a short description for your class

2. Check the Moderate all Posts box

3. Click SAVE SETTINGS

Send notes and alerts to your group

You can send a note to your students


that will post to the discussion
board, or an alert that will send a
notiWication* to group members

1. Go to your group home page by


selecting the group in the left column
2. Click NOTE and type your note
3. To send an alert, click ALERT and
type your alert

*The alert notiWication will appear in the top right corner

Add Folders and Files to your Group

1. From your group homepage,


Click on FOLDERS in the left column
2. Click ADD FOLDER
3. Type the name of the Folder
4. Click CREATE

5. Click on ADD TO FOLDER,


then UPLOAD FILE

your Wile and click ADD

Creating Assignments
1. From the group homepage,
Click ASSIGNMENT.
2. Type the name of the
Assignment
3. Click LOAD ASSIGNMENT
4. Set a DUE DATE
5. Add a description of the
Assignment
6. Click SEND

Grading Assignments


If you click on an assignment, you can see student submissions (who has and has not
turned it in) , grade assignments, add notes to the assignments, and view scores.
Students can also submit comments or questions related to the assignment.

Creating Quizzes
You can upload self-made quizzes, but you can also use the quiz wizard to easily create
quizzes within Edmodo.


1. Name your quiz

2. Set a time limit (if needed)


3. Select the type of question

-Multiple choice

-True/False

-Short Answer

-Fill in the blank

-Matching

Additional Features
Edmodo features a calendar/planner
to keep track of tests, due dates, and events.




You can create small groups of students within
your class for discussions, assignments, etc.
1. Click the CREATE A SMALL GROUP
2. Name your small group, then add the members
