Antisubmarine Depth Charge

System Description
MS500 is a 500 lb state of the art
antisubmarine depth charge, designed
to be effective against double hull
submarines with maximum target kill
probability. MS500 can be carried by
any kind of platform equipped with
standard pylons for 500 lb class bombs;
no electrical interface with the aircraft is
required.

Main Features
The in-air trajectory of the MS500 is
stabilized by a dedicated parachute that
allows the correct impact angle and
velocity. This depth charge is equipped
with state of the art active sonar that
enables explosion at the minimum
distance from the target (optimum
firing point). If a target is not acquired,
the MS500 explodes at a preset depth
or as soon as it reaches the sea bottom.
