Lake Oswego, OR 97035 bards4@comcast.net 503.998.9101 503.684.5098 December 13, 2013 To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Maureen Tromley. I worked with Maureen as her University Supervisor for her final year in the Graduate Teacher Education Program at Portland State University. Maureen worked with second and fourth grade classes during her Student Teaching at Creative Science School. In both settings, Maureen provided well-planned lessons that met specific goals and objectives. She engages the students in interesting and creative activities and displays a warm and caring manner with them. As part of her experience in Student Teaching, Maureen has participated in CoTeaching Workshops in which she learned strategies and techniques related to teaming and teaching together in a classroom. Her skills in this area have allowed her to become a valuable member of the educational team at Creative Science School where she and her cooperating teachers worked together to plan not only the instruction, but also the delivery of that instruction to the students. These skills related to teaming and cooperation would be very valuable to a teacher joining your educational setting. Maureen is well on her way to becoming a devoted, caring educator who has much to bring to a team of teachers. Please let me know if I can provide you with any additional information. I look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely, Rebecca Bard PSU GTEP Supervisor
