My Worldview
Worldviews

The worldview of a religion, or an individual is something that could be

deeply discussed for hours, and zooming in a bit more, the traditions,
customs, or denominations of different types of religion. I believe in God the
Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I believe that is more than one
way, there are other alternate routes to Heaven. I believe that God is the
source of life. I believe in God because I choose to believe in Him. I firmly
believe the Jesus Christ died on the cross to save the people of this world. To
allow room for forgiveness because every human sins, and there is nothing
they can do to prevent that. Although, nobody could just randomly believe in
someone, or something. In this case of Christianity, the Bible is there to
answer questions, to create questions and to help me keep me going in the
right direction. The Bible is sort of the cooking directions of the Christian
faith. It tells us what we need, what has to be done, and how to do it. In
terms of the characteristics of God, I know he is loving, forgiving and omnieverything. He is the epitome of perfection. I cant really explain why I think
all of these things because God is so big, so amazing that I will never be able
to wrap my head around Him.
I believe in the power of prayer. Praying is one of the most effective
method of talking to God. We pray if we need help, if we need someone to

talk to, and if we are thankful for something. The best thing is that praying is
harmless and can be done at any time of any day. I also believe in the power
of the relationship that Mother Mary and the Saints have with God. . I do not
worship them, they should not be worshipped. Instead they intercede for
humans on earth, they help humans build and maintain a healthy
relationship with God.
At the point where I am in my life, I question almost everything. I
question why something exists, how it came into existence, what is its
significance. I am the same location in my faith journey, absolute truth is
completely new to me. Right now, I dont think that absolute truth exists,
although my opinion is not concrete. If absolute truth exists, I dont think
anyone would be able to know or understand it. Absolute would not allow
room for debate, change, or anything that would alter its existence which I
cannot agree with. I also do not think there is religious absolute truth
because it would not agree with what I believe.
I believe in the same creation story that is in the book of Genesis, that
God created everything in a matter of days. Where it came from I cannot
answer because the world we live in is the original work of God. In our
century, our society, I believe we are living in a world of evil. There will
always be good and evil. People that live for evil or good. I do not think there
is much we can do to halt the evil in this world, we can just work to bring
change to the world.

I believe that I am, that humans are the crowning glory of Gods
creation. I love how the Sikhs define humans as being the apex of all created
beings. I honestly think there is no better definition. In terms of how we are, I
believe that we all are evil. We were born evil in an evil world, theres not
much we can do about that. Although we are evil, we have the potential to
be good, to do good things, and to be good Christians. We naturally do evil,
evil is around us and we probably sin when we ourselves are not aware of it. I
believe that we are saved by believing in Jesus Christ. We are saved by
accepting Him into our hearts and openly welcoming Him into our lives.
In any situation, culture, religion, there are expectations and limits
concerning ethical behavior. There certain things and actions that need to be
done before meeting an expectation of doing something right. The same
goes for doing something wrong. There is a limit of how many things can be
done and how much of that one thing can happen before doing something
wrong. I dont think there should be a set or concrete list of things that
people must follow. Its more of a common sense action, if it does not sound
right, dont do it. With religious ethical behavior, I believe that the Ten
Commandments we have today still serve as a perfect example of what
Christians should and should not do. I believe that morality is more relative
to cultures rather than individuals. I say that because cultures cover a large
number of people, and it is easier to say what and what not to do to a large
number of people. If it were just the individual, they would be on their own,

learning from their mistakes and making their own decisions about what is
right and what is wrong.
I ask this question frequently, why are humans here? Why do humans
exist? I know there is no definite book answer but we can draw conclusions
from passages and books. I believe that humans were created to watch over
the Earth and to worship God. I think these two things could almost be done
at the same time. Without humans, the Earth would be pointless, humans
inhabit the earth, change the earth, and will eventually leave the earth.
There are people who are not believers and there are those who have never
heard of the Bible or Christianity. That is also another purpose that humans
need to spread the word of God to those who need it, and at the same time
protecting the earth and praising God.
I believe in a Heaven, a Hell, and a Purgatory. I believe that people,
based on what they have done in their life, and where they are with God go
to one of those two places. I also believe that people go to Purgatory. People
can do so many good things in their lifetime, they can attend church every
week, pray daily, give to charity. All those good deeds add up fast but
humans still need this final purification process in order to reach Heaven.
Humans are not perfect and I believe that in order to enter Heaven, humans
need to essentially be perfect. The first step to that is of course accepting
Jesus Christ. After that comes things like, using their faith in the world,
following the Ten Commandments etc. After Purgatory, people that were
there go to Heaven. I also believe that people are given second chances,

meaning people in Hell could go to Heaven. If God is a God that loves

unconditionally, then I believe that he will continue to love everyone
unconditionally regardless of who they are, where they are, and what they
do.
I believe that Jesus Christ is part of the Trinity and that he came to
earth to die for the sins of the world. I believe that when he was alive, he
was God the Father in the form of human flesh. Jesus Christ, the person who
did miracles, is the epitome of perfection. I believe that all the things he did
on earth is what we humans need to try to do. He laid out these plans or
guidelines of life that we should follow. I believe that we hold Jesus with such
high regard because without him, we would be so uncertain about our future.
We would not even know of a future because we would have to pay for our
sins which means going to Hell.

I believe that Christianity is this beautiful recipe. A recipe that is

composed of many different and unique ingredients. Those ingredients are
the denominations and the people of the Church. In addition to the
ingredients we need the instructions of making something out of these
ingredients. Christians pray, work, live, and just about do everything for the
glory of God. If all the ingredients are right, the ingredients are mixed well,
and we have just the right amount of time we receive this beautiful product.

This beautiful product is spending eternity in a beautiful place with a

beautiful Creator.
