Objectives

i)By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to recognise

and name objects that begin with the letter sby matching
pictures of objects to word cards and play Bingo by crossing
out words called out by teacher correctly.

the objects that start with the letter s and read the words
correctly. (refer to LBI Module page 7)

Teaching Aids: Realia (suit,soap,sand,six,sock) , Pictures in Appendix 1, word cards

Activities/ LBI Activities :
1. Pupils sound the letter s and do the action. (LBI)
2. Pupils name the pictures that start with /s/ in Appendix 1with teachers
guidance.(LBI)
3. Pupils randomly pick a picture card, name the picture and sound the letter.
(LBI)
4. Pupils form words with letter cards to match pictures.(LBI)
5. Pupils pick an object from a bag and match with word cards.
6. Repeat step (5) to introduce other objects.
7. Pupils play a language game Bingo.
