Description of how to implement in the class: The teacher will introduce the activity by modeling
how to collect data and add the information to Timeliner. The teacher will lead the students through
the steps of creating a timeline using Timeliner. After reviewing how the students can use the
software, they will be put into a group to research one of the historical figures from the 2nd grade
standards. Using Timeliner, the students will choose how to display the information/data that they
collected. When the students have finished putting together their timelines, they could display their
research on their historical character to the class using the Timeliner software. A screen shot could
also be taken of their timeline and hung up in the classroom for all the students to be able to see.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): This activity has a LoTi level 4 because the students
are allowed to collect and graph information on their own.
