Using what you have learned about mime, inflection, word emphasis, showing
emotion, and character creation, you will perform a fairy tale for our class to
best highlight your strengths as a performer and show your understanding of
staging principles.
Your fairy tale scene should take place in the moment either right
before the story begins traditionally or right after the scene took
place. Fill out the character sketch handout for the character you selected in
order to create a full back story. It is essential that you have explored who
your character is and how they feel in order to produce a compelling piece.
You will have two classes to rehearse as a full troupe. As such, this will be a
work in progress as a performance. Performances will be next Wednesday and
Thursday with a written reflection after the final performance is completed.
Reflection questions will be handed out separately. Friday is our Winter
Workshop day!
