Overall Comments:
Justin presented an effective Language lesson on punctuation and dialogue. it was well organized and practical. The students
used the knowledge in the creation of their mystery story. He indicated in our debrief that he is considering ways to make the
lesson more dynamic. Justin initially, in this field experience placement, had some problems with puncuality and attendance.
Justin has been working to correct this situation, although, the Associate Teacher did report that Justin was late on the morning
of this appraisal. He did admit that he had had a late night the previous night.

Comments:
Justin created a well-planned lesson. Of particular note was the use of technology. The application and assessment
need to specifically relate to the learning goals of the class rather than the unit or larger assignment. The Field
Experience binder needs to contain all the lesson plans with a full self anaylsis of each lesson taught. (This is
recorded in the Reflection section of the lesson plan)

Comments:
Justin presented an effective Grade 7 Language lesson. He explained the use of punctuation within dialogue and he
then encouraged students to proofread their dialogue and also add correct dialogue to the mystery story they are
creating. He used technology and directions well. Justin needs to incorporate a mental set/hook in the lesson at the
start.
