    todisplayduringafireemergency.Eachstudentwillsignthebottomofthecontract
    confirmingtheyunderstandthestepsandwillfollowalldirectionsincaseofan
    emergency.

    LansingFireDepartmentpresentation.Iwillalsousethecomputerandprojector
    toshowvideosofhowtoperformourobjective.
    LessonDevelopment:
    1. Reviewandsummarizethefiremenspresentation
    2. Startcomputerandturnonprojector.
    3. (GROUP)Showtheclassdifferentvideosaboutfiresafety.

    4. Moveoutdoorsandsetupplayingfieldboundarieswiththe4cones.
    5. Explaingamerulesandhowitrelatestoourobjective.Modelstepsforthe
    students.
    6. Playgameforroughly1015minutes.
    7. Assessstudentsunderstandingofproceduresbyhavingtheclassdemonstrate.
    8. Movebackintotheclassroom
    9. Createacontractonthecomputer/print
    10. Haveeachstudentsignthebottomofthecontract
    11. Hanguponwallsothatstudentscanrefertoitifneeded.
    Closure:After1015minutesofplayingthegame(switchingthetaggersand
    firemenoften)Iwillcalltheclassintoacircle.Iwillhavethemalldemonstrate
    thestepswereviewed(crawlingundersmoke,stopdropandroll).Aftereveryone
    correctlydemonstrates,wewillmovebackintotheclassroomandbrainstorma
    contractwithalloftheinformationwelearned/reviewed.Wewillconstructthe
    contractonthecomputerandIwillprintitoutandhaveeachstudentcomeupand
    signthebottomofthecontract.Thiscontractwillbehungupintheclassroomfor
    futurereferenceincaseofafireemergency.

    MasonIEPstatesspecialneedsofDownsyndrome.Masonneedsadequatetimeto
    conducttheinstructiongiventohim.Healsoneedsvisualdemonstrationandclassmate
    support.TylerwillbepairedwithMasonandwillhelptalkhimthroughthegameand
    procedures.
