Irans Nuclear Talk

Iran has put out a proposition to the six
main countries: The Unites States, Russia, China,
The United Kingdom, and others 1
to exchange
nuclear weapons for relief from sanctions that
crippled their oil sales. They gave the UN five
months to discuss the deal, and now that the
five months are coming to an end. 2

Everyone is
working to make the Right Deal.

The United States doesnt want Iran to

3
have access to Nuclear weapons.
They are

more than willing to walk away from the

deal if it isnt good enough. They are doing what
they think is right for everybody by showing that
they can walk away from helping another
country. Iran was able to fire back by saying
With or without permission, they will have
possession of nuclear weapons.

Some cons if the other countries were to

disagree with this deal would be an angry
Iranian country that has nuclear weapons that
could do significant damage to their target..
When we think about either the multiple pros or
cons that go with this agreement we can see
why this is such a big deal and is taking so long
to come up with a final decision.

China on the other hand remains optimistic

about the nuclear talks. They talked about how
even if the deal is made, there can be
negotiations that can be made. Also how the
agreement to the program would be essential
not only for security of the Middle-Eastern
countries but for global security for everyone.

Some pros if they were to agree to the deal

could be Iran not having any nuclear weapons
that could endanger other countries in the
future. When we think about it that way, it
seems like a good idea for this to happen but
we can't be too sure.

If the countries were to agree to the program, it

wouldnt last a few years or maybe a decade, we
6
are looking at a lifetime agreement.
Obama
wants the deal to last at least ten years, but the
senate are asking if it will last 22 months.
.

They are trying to reach a political

understanding with Iran by the end of March.
With the political understanding, the following
months will be used to discuss more technical
details. We will remain extremely peaceful and
we are in no rush.

Give Women Their Freedom

In Iran, women are forced to wear
headscarves called Hijabs. Hijabs cover the
majority of the womans head, only leaving their
face to be seen in public. If women were to go
out in public without the Hijab 1

they would face

punishment like beatings and ostracization( To
exclude from a group by common consent).
They are forced to wear them from the age of
seven and they dont have any leeway around it.
Masih Alinejad launched a page on
facebook dedicated to women in Iran to be able
to post pictures of themselves without their
hijabs. 2

She has over 130,000 likes on her page

from both men and women. She is giving them
the freedom to be able to enjoy the world
without being confined to their hijabs. She talks
about not wearing the headscarf but not having
the choice. On that page, she encourages
people to post pictures of themselves without
their hijabs and has

I believe that the women in Iran should be

able to go out into public without having to wear
a hijab and a dress that covers almost all of
their skin. They should be able to go out and
have their wind fly through their hair. They
shouldnt be confined to having no freedom on
how they want to look like when they go
outside.

My hair was like a hostage to the

government. The government believed that
with the hijabs and the dress are one way to
control and in their minds protect the people.
They are concerned with issues of the female
bodies and thats the way that they choose to fix
it, by making them wear a dress that doesn't
show any skin and with the headscarf , they are
only allowed to show their faces when they go
out into public.
