Dear Ms. Dor,

It is with pleasure that I respond to a request by Ms. Kaitlin Walsh for a letter of recommendation to
accompany her applications for internship. Kait is in the process of completing her coursework in our
NASP approved Ed.S. program in School Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver.
Kait has been a student in a number of my classes: cognitive and achievement assessment, intro to school
psych, and I serve as her university supervisor for practicum. Kait has consistently performed well in the
academic arena. She has high personal standards and has worked hard to attain them. In addition, Kait has
been remarkably open to feedback from university and site supervisors alike. She works well individually

and as a member of a team and she has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Kait has developed excellent assessment skills. She has a solid understanding of the process of
assessment within a Response-to-Intervention model including progress monitoring, targeted assessment
and comprehensive evaluations. Kait has learned to integrate both soft and hard assessment data and her
reports are thorough and well written. She actively sought supervision and feedback regarding her
assessment skills and she worked hard to incorporate feedback into practice. Kait consistently developed
appropriate recommendations based on assessment results that were designed to build on student
strengths and meet their needs.
On a more personal level, Kait has truly been a pleasure to have in class. Beneath her quiet exterior is a
bright, perceptive, and witty individual who genuinely cares about children. Kait is well organized and
very particular about the quality of her work. My recommendation for her is without reservation.
