Well done to Annette, Joy and Leisha who competed


at oxley in the 2 day KV club dressage jackpot Both
joy and annette had good rides and enjoyed the
weekend camping there. Congratulations to Leisha
who won Saturdays level 1 jack pot championship in
a strong field. Well done - great to see bernie out and
about again!

It has been proposed that Alpine ARC change our


constitution to lower the membership joining age
from 18yo to 16 yo. Any change to our constitution
requires a vote - so a letter will be going out to
members shortly, please watch out for this letter as
your vote is important.

Our first Official Le Trec


AARC first official Le Trec comp to be held - Sunday
28th June 2015. Test your one to one partnership
with your horse over obstacles and challenges.
Includes a Nav ride with a twist and a control of gait
competition. No pressure and lots of fun - more info
to come. Its a new form of horse competition which
is hot property in Europe, developed over the last 20
plus years and is gaining popularity Australia. They
are a combination of Orienteering or rather riding at
a given pace over a distance between several check
points, Time Trials (slow canter then fast walk over
about 750m) and an Obstacle Course of about 16
items.

John Bird Clinic 21st Feb


Alpine will once again host well known event rider
John Bird on Feb 21st. Lou has done a great job
organising this clinic - come down to watch and have
a cuppa - time are posted on Face book site.

Harrowing roster
Thank you to Lou for organising the harrowing roster
for 2015 - a condition of membership to AARC is
commitment to partake in harrowing throughout
the year to maintain the arena surfaces - if you
cant make your allotted time - please let joy now or

Andrew Sims Clinic - expression of interest


Andrew Sims is a well know regional horseman
- expressions of interest are being sought for 1-2
day horsemanship clinic to be held at Pioneer Park.

Holding comps is one way our club raises funds although we understand not everyone is interested in competing;
