Assignment 1: Information Literacy

The article I choose has both mobile technology and emerging technology. In addition, Apple is
coming up with ways to put there technology into making an electric car, Apple watches, and
Apple televisions. Accordingly, Apple is working with Ford and former Medcerdez-Benz Johann
Jungwirth to consult on a budget plan for such a huge project. Additionally, Apple is also
working on improving the apple products they already have out; which includes the iPads,
iPhone 6, and the software thats on these products. (Etherington)
I used Google Chrome to find one website and I used Bing to find the other website.
Accordingly, in my opinion I feel that the search engine Bing was better than Google chrome
because Bing gave one than more websites that held a lot more information on this Apple electric
car. Furthermore, Google Chrome had websites that had just about the same information on
several of the articles I looked at. Nonetheless, Bing gave actually articles that has data while,
Google Chrome gave articles that just had assumptions instead of actually facts.
1. This article was written February 13th, 2015. Yes this article was February 14, 2015 at
12:59am.
2. Yes the article speaks about the Apple electric car. The article answers questions like how
much Apple think they will spend, the percentage of cars they think they will sell, and
other information you would need to sell something that high in demand.
3. The author of this article is Tom Huddleson Jr. Im not too sure if this author is qualified
to write such an article but telling by the information they have in their article; you can
tell they did a lot of research and you can tell they took their time to put it together with
all the data they gathered in the article.
4. Yes this information is trustworthy. Yes this information had evidence that has to do with
data. The information is still in discussion hasnt been set in stone with Apple yet.
5. The purpose of this article was written to inform the audience that Apple is in the process
of gathering information and products and data on the making of the car. (Jr.)

Comparing the two articles; they are both easy access. In addition, you can really just use the
same keywords that I use. Additionally, you can really use any search engine to find these
articles as well. Accordingly, both articles were published and released on the same day. I feel
that both articles are different in authority. Furthermore, the article that I read off of Bing had
more data than any of the articles Ive read. The article that I read off of Google Chrome wasnt
as objective because of the lake of facts and data. (Ziegler) (Oliver)
