Procedure:

Day 1

Materials: Tank

Bakery Clear plastic containers
cut in half (I went to the grocery
bakery and asked for some) large
enough to fit fish and seaweed.
Sand Mixed with Elmers Glue
Seashells
Paper large enough to fit Clear
plastic containers
Tempera Cakes
White tempera paint
Paint brushes
Bubble wrap wrapped around
toilet paper tubes
Buttons
Hot glue gun and sticks
Elmers glue bottles
Fake plants cut up for seaweed



Step3: Lift up plastic canvas and reshape wool into more of a fish shape. Continue to agitate now only using

your hands.

Step 4: Roll the wool fish tightly in stitchery canvas. Roll f or one minute. Unroll, turn the piece 90 degrees
and repeat. My students did this on carpet samples to pull
out the water. Rinse out soap and lay flat to dry.


Day 2:

Step 1: Use tempera cakes to paint paper for the background
of their fish tank.

Step 2: Dip toilet paper role with bubble wrap into white tempera paint and press onto painted paper for the

bubbles.

Day 3

Step 1: Have students trace plastic container onto the background
paper and cut out.

Step 2: Lay out seaweed and glue down fish with Elmers glue.
Step 3: Hot blue seaweed onto background and background
