Procedures:
Students will be given a handout with blanks and space for them to fill in
notes corresponding with the PowerPoint Presentation.
The PowerPoint Presentation will be presented by the teacher. The teacher
will have a copy of the handout to be sure to point out the important parts
for students to write on their handout.
By the end of the PowerPoint, students should have all notes taken and filled
out for the most part. If there are any questions regarding missed
information or anything that is confusing, students will be given the
opportunity throughout the presentation to ask questions.
While the presentation is presented, students will be probed with questions
like, What colors are considered to be primary colors? (possible response:
red, blue, yellow) How do you mix secondary colors? (possible response: by
mixing two primary colors together) How are tertiary colors made?
(possible response: by mixing one primary color and one secondary color)
How do you tint a color or show a gradient? (possible response: by adding
white)
After the presentation, students will then be instructed to use the colored
pencils to fill in the color wheel on the hand out. A few examples will be
given and an explanation of the placement of the colors on the color wheel.
While students are working, their progress will be monitored by the teacher
walking around and checking their work.
Accommodations:
To accommodate for students who may have a harder time focusing or
concentration, I will be sure to check on them throughout the lesson. By walking by
their desk and looking at their work, I will be able to see if they are keeping up and
following along. For students who may work quicker than the rest, I will be sure to
keep an eye on them and make sure they are doing their work correctly.
