I have been made aware that you are looking for a Kindergarten Teacher in your school district. I came across
this job on the Arizona Education Employment Board website while doing research for one of my courses. I
believe that I would be able to fill the qualifications you are looking for in a new Kindergarten teacher, and I
would like to meet with you to discuss this opportunity. The districts mission statement states that you aim to
develop students into successful citizens by providing a quality education. It would be a privilege to work
alongside other employees of the district to help uphold the mission statement. Based on the standards the
district expects I believe that my passion for children and teaching, knowledge of curriculum and standards, and
my good classroom management skills will help your district meet those standards.
After searching through the districts website, I read through the core values for the district. I believe that my
genuine passion for each individual student will help me demonstrate the Six Pillars of Character. During my
fourth year at Arizona State University, I completed a semester of student teaching. I was able to form a bond
with my students and teach them more than just curriculum, but life lessons that will hopefully shape them into
successful citizens. During that semester, I was able to bring in new ideas to the school and collaborate with
other experienced teachers. I can bring in those ideas and help the district meet the ever-changing needs of a
diverse student population.
On the website I read that you are looking for an applicate who knows the curriculum for their grade level and
can plan a program of study based on students ability and needs. During my years at Arizona State University, I
worked in one of the tutoring centers. While working with those students, I learned how to adapt to the needs of
students. I learned how to change my teaching style until the student I was working with understood the
concept. I can take this skill and use it in the classroom to ensure that every student is learning in a way that
works best for them.
