INTRODUCTION:
This experiment assumes no prior knowledge of telecommunications. It illustrates
how TIMS is used to model a mathematical equation. You will learn some experimental
techniques. It will serve to introduce you to the TIMS system, and prepare you for the
more serious experiments to follow.
In this experiment you will model a simple trigonometrical equation. That is, you
will demonstrate in hardware something with which you are already familiar analytically.
MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT:

Oscilloscope
Adder
Phase Shifter
TIMS

ANALYSIS/ CONCLUSION:
The goal of the activity is to be familiar with the use of TIMS. It used the Phase Shifting of a waveform
to understand how the equipment is being used and shows its efficiency when it comes to block diagram
construction of a system. Its very efficient due to its simplified modules and you will easily understand the
concept of a block diagram given its schematic and applying it to TIMS.
