Teaching Practice 1
Dear Journal,
Today was so emotional for me, for it was my first teaching practice with my colleagues at
Presentation College, Chaguanas. I am so amazed at the culture of the school and the discipline
of the students. I had the privilege of teaching a form two (2) class the topic primary storage
devices.
I was drawn into the interaction of the students. I got so caught up with their excitement and
eagerness. This slightly changed my excitement and enthusiasm, however the day turned out
very well. The lesson started by show four (4) RAM chips to the class asking them to observe
them and a discussion ensued after they were finished looking at the chips. Comments and
feedback after the session was complete made me realized that if I had shown pictures on the
screen, it would have made a greater impact and save me time
The comments and feedback were really positive; I must go back to the drawing board and
make improvements for the future. I look forward to my next teaching practice in anticipation
and anxiety, with hope that I will execute my lesson plan using proper time management.
