Re: Request for Approval of Additional Work.

As was brought to your attention during the procurement Committee
meeting which took place on the 2nd March 2015:Busia cluster had planned to construct 2 classroom block with an office
and store at Kabasala Primary School, but during the preparation of the
tender document, the tender was prepared for 2 classroom block only
omitting the office and store.
Also, Soroti cluster had planned to construct 2 classroom block with an
office, store and staff room for the teachers at Amusia Primary School,
unfortunately this was not reflected clearly on the purchase request and the
staff room was omitted during the preparation of the tender document.
During the award of these tenders, balances were realized and therefore the
clusters requested for considerations of these missing items. The
Construction Engineer then developed the drawings and the BOQs which
were administered to the contractors to come up with the prices as per the
attached analysis.
Recommendations were captured in the minutes of the meeting and this
memo is to seek for your approval of the above additional work to allow the
works on these two sites to proceed.
