Ans 1-: ,Strategy for market segmentation of radio user

We will need to identify our target audience for segmenting the market for that
we have get the type of listener that really matters for you station. If we shape a
strategy to attract the type of listeners our station will appeal to listeners who
are looking a radio station like ours will .
Radio listeners are divided by Geographic area, Race, music, gender, ages,
interest and lifestyle; At least these are the most common criteria used by us to
segmentation of market . The same way we have to identify who is going to be
our audience and focus on that group. Make a list of what defines our station, for
example:

Type of music

Ages of your potential listeners

Geographic Area (if you have a specific area)

Interest of your potential listeners

Message or vision of your station

With only these 5 things we will start to shape our station and start attracting the
listeners we want.

Source of gathering information to know feasibility of internet

We have to collect all the information needed for research from different
authentic source and have to categorize them as primary and secondary data.
They are briefly introduced below
1. Primary Data
Primary data are those collected by us on the concerned topics which are original
in nature. While studying about establishing the internet radio we get primary
data from different sources like direct in depth interviews with station manager
of other internet radio stations in order to collect various information regarding
financial and other operating processes of radio program production and media
management
2. Secondary Data
Secondary data are those which is collected by us on the concerned topics which
are not original in nature or are originally collected for some other purpose. The
main sources of secondary data are statistical publication of different media
houses and organizations through websites, different journals and business
magazines etc
