Teacher Pledge for Digital Citizenship

1. I will use technology to build a positive Professional Learning Network to keep

connected and to continually further my professional development
2. I will ensure that parents are aware of the technology that is used in my
classroom
3. I will educate my students about the technology used in the classroom
4. I will be aware of all the possible dangers of the internet and will be aware of
what my students are participating in
5. I will teach my students about technology and how to use it in a safe manner
6. I will ensure that my students can talk to me at any time if they feel unsafe or
threatened on the internet
7. I will teach my students that everyone on the internet is still a real person and
deserves respect
8. I will teach my students that if you use others work on the internet they must
give that person credit
9. I will ensure that every student has an equal opportunity to use technology in
my classroom
10. I will ensure that technology is used to enhance the lesson being taught in
order to make the overall learning experience successful
