Kindergarten lesson

LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS OF SPRING

Students will be asked to draw what
they think the sound of spring
would look like if it was visual.
Using water color pencils the
students will depict a certain
sound in spring using only, color,
line, or abstract shapes.

START THE PROJECT

I will then have the students pick a sound
off the list we had previously made to
use as their visual sound.
The students will then be instructed to go
to their tables and do a pre-sketch of
what shapes or lines they are going to
use.

PROJECT CONTINUED
To ensure the students are understanding
the concept of abstraction I will have
the students get their pre-sketches
approved before they can start on their
final piece.
Once their sketch is approved the
students will receive their water color
paper so that they can start on their
final piece.

CONCLUSION
In theory I would do a verbal evaluation with
the students over the project (if the time
allowed for it)
