Ongoing Assessment

1) Begin class by collecting summaries and

allowing for students to ask questions
pertaining to the Present Me PowerPoint. (5-10
minutes)
2) Next, break students into 6 groups: Idea,
Themes, Characters, Setting, Language, and
History
3) Provide students with guided handouts for
each group. (Character group will get a
character analysis handout, Setting will get a
setting analysis handout ect.)
4) Students will work in their group to analyze the
play based on their particular element. They
are responsible for defining the element,
providing examples of their elements, and the
importance of their element. For example, The
Idea Group will define what an idea is, analyze
the play for what is its idea, and why they
reach that conclusion. Each group is
responsible for filling out their groups
handout. (45 minutes)
*The purpose for the handout is that on 11/15 to
conclude our lesson on the play the students will
present to each other their groups conclusions and
will record it into a podcast, so that they can all
access the information later*
