Notes

1. The teacher asks the pupils to recall how many types of recycle bins had
they seen. The teacher and pupils talk about the binscolour and what rubbish
can be thrown into certain bin.

2. Next the teacher opens the following link;

In this game, the pupils need to put all the objects in the right bins.

Green bin-an apple core, a tea bag and a banana skin

Blue bin -a can ,a yogurt pot, a plastic water bottle

Orange bin - a jar of jam,a bottle of ketchup,a bottle of coke

Grey bin - a bus ticket ,a comic , scrap paper

Note:In non-tech lesson, the teacher can use real objects. Wrap the baskets
with colours as the bins above . Next, hide the objects everywhere in the

classroom. Then asks the pupils to look for the objects. Turn this game into a
competition. the group that collect more rubbish and throw them in the right bin
is the winner.

4. The teacher guides the pupils to write compound sentences as follows; He


throws an apple core , a tea bag and a banana skin into the green bin.

5. The teacher guides the pupils to read the text on page 58 in the textbook.
The pupils label the items they found on the beach. In pairs the pupils discuss
which bin should the item be put in. Then write compound sentences about the
items in their exercise book.
