Title
Your Divine Stewardship
Being Wise Stewards
Environmental Accountability
Kicker (<125 Characters)
As children of God, we have a divine calling to care for and preserve the earth and its resources.

S ynopsis (200250 Words)

In the first book of Genesis, God pauses after each new creation and admires it as
good (Genesis 1:1). [https://www.lds.org/scriptures/ot/gen/1.1,26?lang=eng] As the
recipients of Gods earth, we are responsible to take the time to admire its beauty and
preserve its resources. By doing so, we act in our divine calling as stewards over the
earth.
Your stewardship
As stewards of the earth, we are accountable for our use of its resources. Stewards
are to preserve resources and protect for future generations the spiritual and temporal
blessings of nature (Gospel Topics). God has given us the opportunity to care for and
preserve the earth. Stewardship does not equal ownership.
Being a wise steward can be as simple as picking up trash on the side of the road,
or as complex as starting a community recycling project. Wise stewards are aware and
involved.
The Churchs stewardship
The Church recognizes the role of stewardship in Gods plan and strives to
conserve energy and natural resources. The Church implements green building initiatives,
water conservation efforts, and recycling projects.
Let us keep the earth beautiful and clean, so that as we look upon it, we too can
call it good.

Quotes to incorporate
All things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the
face of it. (Alma 30:44) https://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/30?lang=eng

Comment: Since you start the next
paragraph with a similar sentence, it might
add some variety to switch up the words a
bit in this sentence. Maybe When God gave
the earth to his children, he entrusted us to
take the time

Comment: This is a good place to create a
greater sense of urgencyboth to improve
ones stewardship and to read the full
article. I liked this idea from the article: The
earth is endowed with an array of natural
resources that will provide for the human
family if they are used as the Lord instructed.
You could end by saying something like The
earth has enough resources for everyone as
long as we take care of it the way the Lord
intended. Find out more about being a good
steward.

Comment: You could incorporate this
quote in the first paragraph. You could start
by describing a beautiful natural scene or
different natural elements and tie them to
how they are proof that God exists. Then
this quote before your first sentence. Or it
would make a great pull quote
