Who am I?
I am 17 years old. The officers wanted my
family to believe that I committed suicide. But
the truth is I was hung from a swing set. Nobody
to save me but one thing was for sure my family
knew that I did not commit suicide. I loved the
woman I was dating. She was a white woman
and it is believed that because of our inter-racial
relationship I am now dead. She was constantly
warned to not date me because I was a black
male. I had so much going for myself. I was only
17 years old. Do you know who I am?
I am..

Who am I?
August 9th, 2014 I was shot and killed. The man who took
my life walks freely every day. He gets to wear his badge
and his mom gets to hug him. My mother will never see me
alive again. I will never take another breath. I was only 19
when I was murdered. My death sparked protest
worldwide. I will admit I robbed a store before my death
but when I was shot I did not deserve to be. Darren Wilson
is the officer that took my life and he was not a responding
officer to the robbery. He recognized me. My death
started many riots. I was unarmed. My death sparked
riots. My death made America realize that racism is still
alive and officers will shoot with no care. Because of me
people now walk around with shirts that say AllLivesMatter.

Some of the inmates that

educated on them and
left with a better
understanding that
racism still exist outside
of these walls.
