Activity

Summary

Entry level

discussion of stylistic
elements of video - how do we
understand who the
characters are? Identify some
of the major stylistic elements
(art style, use of color, sound,

After viewing a brief video, a

discussion will be started,
focusing on questions that
challenge students to think
about their viewing
experience and the ways in
which they gain
understanding of characters,
setting, etc, in a visual
medium. This discussion will
serve to measure both
student understanding of
style in a work as well as
their ability to analyze a
work in a visual medium.

elements of illustrations - do
you see any similarities to the
video in terms of the elements
that are important? (art style,
color, etc)

After studying several

elements that came into play
in the video play a role in

will serve to gauge student
understanding of stylistic
elements across different
forms of media.

down the similarities and
differences in the stylistic
