Hello Tina,

Thanks for checking in. Everything looks great to me, very easy to follow and understand.

I was playing around with some features in Captivate regarding software simulation. In addition to your true/false
questions I was thinking of adding a practice feature. After the user is shown how to click through the first few steps
(create site, site address, email, username, and password) and takes the first assessment I wanted to add a Now you
try type of page where the learner practices what they just learned. What do you think about that?

Regards,
Brian

Hello, Tina,

Thanks for checking in.

I have added a couple of practice slides in addition to the true/false assessments. I dont have any more questions at
the moment. I will have more to discuss with you though when I post it and you look it over. Hope yours is going well
too.

Hey, Tina,
Hope all is going well.
I have a few questions and comments about my prototype that I am designing for you.
I think I might take out the widget on slide 11. It doesnt want to center properly in the web browser. What do
you think?
Do you think the true/false assessments match your intentions?
Do you need changes to the practice portions?
I believe I have covered your learning objectives (this will be clearer when I add the narration). If you think I
missed something just let me know.
1. Find the WordPress site on the web
2. Set up an account with WordPress
3. Know the difference between WordPress hosting their site vs having a dedicated domain
4. Have the ability to search for a website template
5. Be able to activate a new template for customization
How am I aligning with what you had in mind with your IDD and storyboard?
I am open to any additions, deletions, or alterations that you want for your instruction.
Ill be sending you links to the project when I complete milestones such as adding narration or after I make your
requested changes.
If you would rather have a video chat, phone call, or anything else Im open. Let me know how I can make this as easy
as possible for you.

Regards,
Brian

Thanks for the notes. I think slide 11 is fun, but I understand your concern and I trust your decision either way to
leave it or remove it. I think once you add the narration it will pull it all together and make more sense. My only
concern is that all the extra "where would you click" slides seem really redundant and could come across as annoying
to the user - especially since the areas are already pretty prompted by text on the screen already. I would not want to
insult the intelligence of the user.

n/a

Also I do not see the "ready to get started" slide where it will take them to actually begin setting up a real site - did I
miss that? I think the true/false questions are good and appropriate. If you think there needs to be more quiz
questions I am open to your suggestions.
I'm looking forward seeing the project as it progresses. If you feel that you need a call or hangout with me, please let
me know, otherwise I am always available via email.
Have a good rest of the week!

Hello Tina,

Excellent point. Ill take out the where would you click part. Now that you mention it I cant help but see it as more
condescending than I had anticipated. Since we still have to include practice how would you feel about one slide that
has hot spots associated with each part that the user would click on to get more information about each item that
is being requested (username, email address, password)? If you have other ideas about the non-graded practice
section let me know.

Ill be sure to include the slide that says ready to get started too.

Regards,
Brian

I think the hot spot idea is great - I liked the direction you had with slide 11 as well, it reinforces the sequence of
events and also briefly explains them. So hopefully you can keep that in - but you are right, if it's not centering the
way you want you may need to remove it.

Hello, Tina,

Hope you are having a great week. I have made the changes you requested and added a drag and drop feature too. If
you could take a look at this new one and give me thoughts it would be appreciated.
