Sheridan is one of the eight elementary schools in Orangeburg 5
School District. The school has approximately 528 students in
grades PK-5. The majority of the school consists of African
American students although there are Caucasian, Asian, Hispanic
and Native Americans. Ms. Williams classroom the classroom Im
assigned to has twenty-three students in all one being Caucasian,
one Hispanic and twenty-three African American. There are
thirteen girls and ten boys in her class. That specific classroom is
not as diverse as some others are. The academic status of
Sheridan Elementary is dated as average. The school isn't
succeeding in its academics nor are its students failing.
