USES PRESENT PERFECT

1. Life experiences that happened before now. We dont know or

dont say when they happened.

Past Simple: we know exactly when something happened

2. EVER + PRESENT PERFECT = any time in your life until now

Have you ever kissed a famous person?
Past Simple: we ask for more info about these experiences
- Have you ever kissed a famous person?
- Yes, I have. When I was in LA on vacation.
- Really? Who did you kiss?
3. We give news about things that happened in the past, but are
connected to now. We dont say the exact time they
happened.

YET: it hasnt happened, but we think it will happen in the future

- Have you finished yet?
- No, not yet
JUST: Something happened a short time ago, but we dont know
exactly when
- Can you get a plate for that sandwich?
- Ive just cleaned the floor!!

ALREADY: Something happened some time in the past (maybe
sooner than expected)

- Ive already done it. - Ya lo he hecho.
- When? - Cundo?

maana

and continue in the present.

- Ive lived here for 20 years (A period of time)
OR
- Ive lived here since 1990 (a point in time)
