Lynn Cialdella-Kam, RDN, PhD, MA, MSA

Lynn Cialdella-Kam is a professor at Case Western University and co-director of the


correlated Masters/Dietetic Intern Program. Dr. Kam has a PhD in Nutrition with a
double minor in exercise physiology and statistics. Dr. Kam received her PhD at
Oregon State University out of Corvallis, OR and her dissertation was "Reversing
Menstrual Dysfunction: The Impact of Menstrual Status on Musculoskeletal and
Hormonal Health. Dr. Kam has done prior research in this field, especially looking
at the physiological, and psychological effects of increased training on female
athletes.
Stephanie Harris, PhD
Stephanie Harris is a professor at Case Western University and a Registered
Dietitian of Ohio. She has her PhD in Clinical Nutrition with a double minor in
Nutritional Biochemistry and Human Metabolism. Dr. Harris is a Clinical Dietitian
and Research Associate at University Hospital. Dr. Harris has done clinical research
in the fields of metabolomics and human metabolism.
Amy Sheon, PhD, MPH
Amy Sheon is the Executive Director of the Urban Health Initiative at Case Western
Reserve University. Dr. Sheon recently co-directed the Childhood Obesity Prevention
Mission Project which was done in Ann Arbor Michigan. Prior to returning, Dr. Sheon
helped in the establishment of three different centers at the University of Michigan,
focused on clinical research, ethical issues in the life sciences, and on improving
educational outcomes for disadvantaged youth. Currently she is hoping to make an
impact on the health of the individuals of Cleveland, Ohio.
Mary Beth Kavanagh, MS, RD, LD
Mary Beth Kavanagh completed her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
at Kent State University and a Masters of Science in Nutrition from Case Western
Reserve University. She also completed her dietetic internship at University
Hospital. Mrs. Kavanagh is a professor of numerous nutrition classes at Case
Western Reserve University to many students in the School of Medicine. She is an
academic to many dietetics students including myself. Mary has held many officer
positions in the Cleveland Dietetics Association.
Arianna Aoun, MS, RD, LD, CSR
Arianna Aoun is the Internship Director at the Cleveland VA Medical Center for the
correlated program with Case Western Reserve University. Mrs. Aoun is a Certified
Specialist in Renal Nutrition. She has had years of clinical experience. She started
the former MOVE program at the Cleveland VA, Morbid Obesity Team. Mrs. Aoun
has experience precepting dietetic interns through the 16-month correlated
program with Case Western Reserve. She has taken on many responsibilities
through the VA, such as, helping writing Va-DoD evidence based guidelines,
revising the VHA Renal Patient Education Handouts and working on the VHA

Bariatric Surgery Nutrition Task Force. Lastly, she is an ACEND program reviewer
through the AND and an active member to many professional groups; National
Kidney Foundation, Kidney Foundation of Ohio, and The Academy of Nutrition and
Dietetics.
