Nash-Rocky Mount Public School district that
th
serve Pre-K through 5 grade.
Teachers have access to numerous professional
development opportunities to enhance their craft.
There are coaches in each subject area that work
closely with the schools and teachers to provide
the best instruction and resources. They assist in
the creation of the district pacing guide for each
subject.

We are proud of our 1:1 initiative in 4 & 5

grades. The students are issued an iPad for school
use.
In each grade we have a Guided Reading Initiative.
Teachers work with small groups of students to
focus on critical literacy skills.
Teachers in our district believe in facilitative
learning. They guide students to learn, create, and

become problem solvers.

Subjects and time frames break down our
instructional day. We do encourage teachers to
integrate subjects across the curriculum.
