these features define Georgia's surface.
a. Locate all the geographic regions of Georgia: Blue Ridge Mountains, Piedmont, Coastal Plain,
Valley and Ridge, and Appalachian Plateau.

Brief Description of Learning Experience: What learning standards will be addressed? What will
students and teachers do? What products will students create? How will the project be introduced? How
long will it take to complete? What audience will use/care about the product(s) students are creating? How
broad is this audience? Students will choose one specific Georgia region and is topographical features, how
the features define Georgias surface, and other aspects such as the wild life, rivers, and fun facts they find
interesting. Students will then create a blog with many different entries addressing each of the topics
addressed above. This topic will be introduced while learning about all of the Georgia regions. This will be
an in class activity, under the supervision of the teacher to ensure everything being typed and publish is
appropriate and the child is on the approved, and safe website. This assignment will last between 1 to 2
weeks. The students will be creating these blogs for their fellow classmates and parents to read. Each
student will also have another student peer edit and take notes of things that they like and could improve on.

Content and Learning Goals: Students will be working on standard SS2G1 and also engage in upper level
critical thinking.
Learning tasks: Students will be assuming adult roles of creating of publishing by using technology. They
are producing final product classmates and others can view to learn more information about each region.
This activity does allow each student to pick the one region of his or her interest.
Student Roles: Each student is in charge of doing their own exploring and researching. They are helping
