Definition Essay
Evil when you hear the word evil, everybody have their own opinion, whether is from
religious views or from personal experiences. Viewpoints frequently change on what is good and
what is evil. But what is the definition of evil? The definition of the word evil is morally wrong
or bad; immoral; wicked, the word originate from Old English and Middle English before the
900. Evils definition is simply a word that people use to describe the other from a lack of
knowledge. Of something they dont understand. Evil can be characterized as the ability to be
wicked, to be immoral and to be vain.
In todays world, the word wicked is used as something being cool or fun depending on
what part of the country you live, but the real meaning of the words is to be wicked is being
capable of harming someone or something. But being wicked can also mean being morally bad
in principle or practice, having committed unrighteous acts, or highly offensive; to be wicked is
to go against your moral beliefs. For example being peer pressure is going against you morals, is
an action that can harm yourself as well as hurting others depending on what you are being
pressure to do. Being wicked is not just harming yourself and others with actions; it can also
involve hurting others with words. Bulling other people is a sense of being wicked. Calling
others names or talking behind their backs is being harmful to others.
Morals define personal character and refer to the beliefs that a person practices when he
interacts in personal and social relationships, in contrast to be Immoral is to be disrespectful to
other and yourself. Evils come in many form and shapes. Being immoral is the act of evil to

yourself and others, posting dirty picture online and in others social media is disrespect to
yourself and others that may be hypercritical. Another example of an immoral act to be to cut
yourself, use illegal substances is disrespectful to your body. To disrespect others can be
throwing trash in the street, vandalizing private property and hurting the environment. Immoral
can also be characterized as having no principal and being dishonest, example of being dishonest
cheating on a test is a sense of dishonesty, cheating on you partner is being dishonest to him/her
and to yourself. And living a life with no principle is a sense being evil. Living life dishonesty,
being selfish, having poor judgment and not being reliable is being evil. Immoral is one of the
characteristic of the word evil.
In today society, body image has such a huge impact on with today social media people
can access thousands of images and, portraying the "ideal" body. Females can feel constant
pressure to live to these ideals. They take no responsibility for the negative image that they
portray, in fact, that is what they thrive on. Is one thing to have a high self-esteem but is another
to thing to much of yourself and be vain. There is nothing as unpleasant as a beautiful person
with an ugly personality. You can be the most attractive person but if you think too much of
yourself, If you think that the world revolve because of you nobody would want to be around
you. Being vain include being excessively proud of about ones own appearance, qualities and
achievements. You can be proud of passing a test but is something else to show it off, or to make
fun of someone that didnt get a good great.
In the past evil was the act of hurting someone physically, but in today world is come in
different form and shape. Evil is not just the act of hurting someone physically is of also the act
of hurting someone with our actions, words, and acts.
