Organizational Structure

How are we led?

As a Biblically-based church, we seek to organize according to the structure and function prescribed for the church in
the Bible.

We view Jesus Christ, the Chief Shepherd as the “Senior Pastor,” who serves as the foundational Cornerstone and
builder of the church. Under Jesus’ authority serve Biblically qualified and defined elders, who are our pastors.

Serving Team members are Biblically qualified deacons, who serve as an extension of the pastors and as administrators
of the ministry. Some Serving Team members may participate in the Pastoral Development Team for pastors/elders-
in-training.

The people of the church, the members, are the ministers and are equipped and empowered to do the ministry of the
church.

Our Structure
To emphasize the serving nature of leadership, our organizational chart pictured “upside-down.” This is not to say
however, that we are a congregationally-led church. Jesus, who is our ultimate authority, is the foundation of our
church. The authority and responsibility for leading the church humanly speaking rests with the Pastors. Pastors lead
by example and service, exercising their authority for the benefit of the congregation and equipping the members to do
the work of the ministry.
