Why I chose this topic

Cathedral has always interested me; I have always lived close to campus and have
been well informed on it through family and friends who attend or have attended in
the past. All the boys in our family have attended Cathedral. And they told me this
was topic was perfect for me to research. I knew enough about it that I wanted to
learn more and thought it would be informative and fun.
How I conducted my research
I went through many websites and pictures about the school. I also asked my
brother and uncles about the school and their experiences. I went to the school and
researched it thoroughly. I interviewed another alumni of Cathedral about this
experiences also and spoke to current students at the school.
How I created and developed my project
I created a website and researched the decades when Cathedral opened and the
popularity it had when this happened. I also researched the historic values, social
values, geographical influences and started building and developing my site. I
knew I wanted to be creative and showcase the campus. That is why I chose the
website, since I enjoy using technology and thought I could show my creativity on
it while explaining the history of Cathedral.
How my topic relates to the theme My topic, cathedral relates to the theme
hometown frontiers because Cathedral High School in my eyes and in the eyes of
many El Pasoans and neighboring cities is a historical site. It is a school that has
been around for almost 90 years and continuous to educate and graduate young
men who will impact our society.
