Describe how you would Online Project/Collaboration Site/Publishing Opportunity in your
classroom:
I would like to use an Online Project in my classroom so that students have more of
a hands-on way of learning material.
What technologies would be required to implement this proposed learning activity in a
classroom?
Websites regarding their specific topic and Avid Studio and Pinnacle Studio HD would be used
to gather information, collaborate, and create, edit and publish their work.
Describe how the following features are addressed in this learning experience (note: all of
them may not be addressed in the project, but most should be if you are reaching a high LoTi
Level.):
a. Collaboration with peers, near-peers, mentors outside their classroom and often
beyond their school: Students will form into groups with their peers, use
information from other classroom websites, and use the internet to gather
information and ideas.
b. Student-centered learning and knowledge creation (collecting original data and or
producing original products as a result of engaging in the project): Students will
create their own creative way to count within 1000 by 5s, 10s and 100s, using
materials, applications, and other editing software to make their work appealing.
c. Higher-order thinking: Students will be creating, remembering, and understanding
the material that they are learning about as well as teaching it to others.
d. Students publishing their original work to others who will use/care about their
product: Other students, their peers, other classrooms, friends and parents will be
able to view this material for pleasure or learning purposes.

What Level of Technology Implementation best describes this learning activity and Why?
1

A LoTi level of 4 would describe this activity because this activity is solely dependent on the
students. They get to create their projects, methods, and the information that goes into their
project. Higher levels of Blooms taxonomy are being addressed, technology is the center of
this activity, and this activity helps students take on professional roles and publish their
information for others to see.
How could you implement this proposed learning experience and still comply with your
districts Internet Safety and Student Privacy policies?
I would comply with my districts Internet Safety and Student Privacy policies by informing my
student what websites they are allowed to use, putting blockers on the computers, and
educate them on not including personal information such as their full names, age, or location
in their projects.
