May 2009 - Estimator, Centrex Homes Limited, Edmonton AB

June 2007 Worked closely with subtrades/suppliers in the tendering process, in developing scopes of work,
material take-offs, change orders, providing job scheduling, and job performance/closeout.
Developed, reviewed and issued scopes of work for subtrades.
Performed tendering process for all subtrades, and provided recommendations for award.
Review of drawings for quality control and materials, and developed supplier purchase orders.
Performed job costing, budgeting, and pricing to achieve company goals.
Achievements
Developed very strong working relationships with subtrades.
Developed and implemented a stronger set of specifications to ensure consistency of purchasing,
pricing and quality of the product. Originally, the specifications were found isolated in several
different sources; and by providing a single source reference, job efficiency and consistency was
increased substantially.
April 2007- Production Reporting Manager, Estimator, Alldritt Homes, Edmonton AB
May 2006 Worked closely with subtrades/suppliers in the performance of tenders, developing scopes of work,
material take-offs, change orders, job scheduling, and job performance/closeout.
Instituted a quality control process to ensure that the construction drawings were accurate, up-todate and consistent. Prior to this process, the construction drawings had been issued several times
with conflicting information, and caused several errors in the field.
Designed and implemented a multiple project schedule both in MS Project and Excel. Previously the
schedule was difficult to comprehend and to update.
Achievements
Established budgets with a 21 percent gross margin. The budgets were based on the above program,
thus providing actual pricing. The benefit of the process was that once the budget was finalized the
program would be ready to print out the purchase orders. Thus, costs were finalized much earlier in
the process.
Successfully reorganized the homebuilder sales process to ensure complete, accurate and efficient
transfer of customer selections to the estimating department.
Worked closely with the homebuilder clients to present product upgrades, provide complete pricing,
and to finalize their architectural drawings.
