I. Statul
- Regatul Unit al Marii Britanii este format din Marea Britanie , care la randul sau este formata din : a)
Anglia
b) Scotia
c)Tara Galilor
d) Irlanda de nord
- Regatul Unit este condus de o monarhie constitutionala
- politica: - este exercitata formal de catre Regina
- este realizata practic de catre membrii Parlamentului si de catre Camera Legislativa
- Primul ministru si Cabinetul exercita puterea potrivit prerogativelor regale

II. Structura autoritatii


1)Autoritatea juridica
- Regatul Unit nu are: a) o Curte Constitutionala
b) un sistem unitar de Curti
c)o separare clara a legilor private si publice
- managementul public se desfasoara potrivit unor legi administrative si a deciziilor Curtii Comunitatii
Europene (E.C.)
- in Regatul Unit nu exista un ministru al Justitiei, ca in celelalte tari europene
- legile de baza difera considerabil de la o tara la alta din cadrul Regatului ( de exemplu in Anglia si
Tara Galilor nu exista un Cod Civil ca in celelalte tari europene)
2) Autoritatea legislativa
- Parlamentul este autoritatea legislativa suprema

- Parlamentul exercita conducerea administrativa
3) Autoritatea executiva
