summary

The main focus of the story is about jerry, a eleven year old
boy who accompanies his single mother to the sea shore on
holiday. One day at the beach jerry wishes to insert some
independence from his mother and swim where the wildrocks are he just looks and then stays.He sees some boys
and tries to play with them but because he is foreign they
had no interest in him. He was left alone. Hes trying to be
like the older boys so he tries to do what the other boys do
but because he was trying so hard to swim under water
and started bleeding from his nose even though he was in
so much pain almost dieing he still managed to swim
under the tunnel.
