ACP Reflection

My plan for my ACP is to analyze the number of students from grades nine to eleven who
have or have not played video games and how they see it in todays society. The ACP was done
via survey discussing on subject based on my senior project topic such as how much the student
play, how long they play, if its enjoying to them or not, and if video games are even good or not
to the community. Looking on the gamers perspective in video games. Ive decided to do a
survey for my ACP to set an example of the differences in how video games are beneficial to the
community or not; both in terms that I could reach the amount of students possible to take the
survey and so I could spread the survey out to separate classes and grades, in case there were no
classes available to take the survey at the time.
In preparation for my ACP, I set up a series of questions relevant to my senior project
topic that can show how many of the students interact with video games and what they feel is the
primary influence from video game. The ACP went well. What happened was that it took a lot of
scheduling with the classes that might have complicated the plan I originally had. With the 9th
grade classes, all of the surveys were filled out easily without any problems. With the 10th and
11th grade classes, however, were still some surveys I needed filled out from the two grades. Ive
received more results from the 10th and 11th grade classes, which made the ACP wrap-up

quicker. After I tally the number of student who answered each question differently and similarly,
I will set the results in graphs to present the amount of people who believes video games are
good for the community or not. The graph will be included in the senior project tech piece.
Despite the outcome of which side of students chose if video games are beneficial or not, I tend
the graph to represent the majority and minority of the selected students on which side is in
belief of the benefits of video games.
The people involved in the ACP were very helpful during the survey development and
handout. Ms. hill assisted me in making the survey and peer reviewed the question and
instruction, improving the chance of understanding the survey better. To have the survey taken in
different locations and at different times, Mr hunter, Mr. Meyer, and Mrs. Boaz had their students
take the surveys at different times to give me the time to gather the result together for the graphs.
More or less, the ACP was able to live up to what I expected. What made me believe that
it lived up to as planned, despite the sudden road block I had to face, was how quick and
effective the survey results were made. Mostly for the 9th graders. The 10th and 11th grade
classes were a main challenge during the plan with the timing and circumstances that occurred in
both the teachers schedules and what those teachers are doing for their classes at the time. The
effect of the ACP survey was based on the students who took it to evaluate what their personal
opinion and involvement in video games. The ACP affects the community in their trust in video
games and is reflected from some of that communitys responses towards video games. If I were
to do the ACP all over again, I would change the scheduling. Of all I had to go over with the
ACP, getting a class and the right time for that class would most likely be the most difficult.
