Liouanan dated August 27, 2014 all higher education institutions that would conduct educational tours and field trips are directed to adhere to the provisions of CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 17 s. 2012. Article Vil, Section 16 as follows: “HEIs shall inform the CHEDROs on the nature of the educational tours and/or field tips to include purpose, schedule, destinations, cost and submit a report on the matter to the CHED Regional Offices concemed at least one month before the opening of classes for every academic year. HE!'s report should include among others the filed-in undertaking form thatthe field trip is not conducted to tnduly benefit or accommodate any of the establishments enumerated in the list ‘owned by an HEI or employee or by an owner who is a relative within the third Guil degree of consanguinity or afinty to an HE! owner or employee having any involvement in the conduct of educational tours andior field trips’. Further, HEls are required to submit the “Before the Educational Tour or Field Trip” fequirements as stated in the checklist one month before the scheduled ‘educational tour or field trip and “During and After the Educational Tour or Field Trip” requirements soonest time possible to avoid disruption on the evaluation timelines and consolidation of reports, In this regard, you are hereby directed to inform this Office and submit all requirements neaded in the conduct of educational tours or field trips.
