DESIGN BRIEF
Client Company:

SPHS

Target
Consumer:

Construction Workers

Problem
Statement:

Construction workers cannot get enough

materials to building site quickly

Design
Statement:

The design is to make a conveyer belt

that goes back and forth several times
and will then stop once limit switch is
pressed after one more rotation

Constraints:

Constraints were time, supplies, and

work ethic

RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS

The objectives accomplished were creating a belt that can bring materials back and forth
and then stopping when needed. Smaller objectives consist of finding the right treads.
Problems during the project included downsizing, having way too large rods, and
uncontrolled motors that moved too fast. This project could lead to future innovations for
construction workers to transport supplies. The results were actually vastly different from
the initial ideas which consisted of a car going back and forth. We learned that we cant
have too much or too little of treads to make the perfect tight tread and that the speed
and time are correlated to each other in how the marker moves.
