ORGANIZATION :

It is a consciously coordinated social unit, composed of two


or more people, that functions on a relatively continuous
basis to achieve a common objective.

ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR :

It is the field of study that investigates the three levels of


behavior in an organization i.e. individual , group, structure
and applies this knowledge for the overall improvement of
the organizational effectiveness.

DEVELOPMENT OF O B CONCEPT :
The main reason behind the development of the O B concept was the
replacement of intuition based study by systematic and scientific study.

INTUITION BASED STUDY :

Study i.e. based on an individual’s own feelings and may not be


necessarily supported by scientific research.

SYSTEMATIC AND SCIENTIFIC STUDY :

Trying to find causes and effects related to a situation and drawing


conclusions based on scientific evidences.
