Objective:
To obtain a full-time position where I can use my degree and experiences to guide our nations youth to
becoming physically active for a lifetime.
Professional Semester: Mount Union Area School District/Mount Union Junior High School- (Fall 2011) I
was able to plan and design curricular content that meets the needs of students in both Health and Physical
Education. I was able to orchestrate a flag football tournament, teach archery lessons, mass ball games, weight
room management, and health units in nutrition, personal and consumer health, and drugs and alcohol.
Fannett-Metal Area School District/ Fannett Metal Elementary School: (Fall 2011) At the elementary level I
focused on building basic and fundamental skills while still having fun. I did a unit plan on throwing;
underhand throwing for K-2 and overhand for 3-5. Jump rope for Heart was also done during my placement. I
was able to teach students single/individual jumping and group jumping.
Related Experiences:
Assistant Baseball Coach: I coached young men grades 9-12 at Fannett-Metal (3/2012-5/2013) and
currently grades 9-10 at Chambersburg High School. I instructed and oversaw pregame routines,
instructed one-on-one with all aspects of the game, ran conditioning and skill development sessions, and
built positive relations with the players.
Volunteer Baseball Coach: During summer of 2014, I had the opportunity to help coach the Fayetteville
American Legion baseball team. I was able to teach and instruct these young men on the fundamentals of
baseball and different strategies of the game.
Volunteer Basketball Coach: During winter of 2015, I volunteered my time helping in the SAYA
basketball league where I helped coach grades 3-6 in the fundamentals of basketball and how to be a
sportsman.
