- the last skills to be taught to the mentees
- 2 sessions - 5 hours
3. READING - PHONICS ( 4th)
- 1 session only - 2 1/2 hours
- focus only on the initial sounds
4. LISTENING AND SPEAKING ( 2nd & 3rd )
- 2 sessions - 5 hours
- Listening skills (2.1) - encourage the mentee to lead the activity if
possible
- Speaking skills - encourage them to talk, do role play.
- picture dictation
- make sure the session is lively...and all mentees are participating an
d do the talking
