The Odyssey
Have you ever The odyssey? The book is about a man named Odysseus who went to
war on troy and stayed for many years, but finally came back to his home. He had many troubles
in his way to get to his wife there many goddesses in everywhere he went everywhere and to face
all kinds of creatures. In the beginning in the Odyssey Odysseus was aggogant and ruthless
towards everybody by the end he was still all of these things.
The stage is Ordinary World, which is where he came from Odysseus had married the
beautiful and ever faithful Penelope. (leeming642) Odysseus and Penelope only had one
son Telemachus (lemming642) according to the text, Odysseuss life with his wife and son was
peaceful and calm.
The stage Call to Adventure is about the hero goes on the when he is needed.
Odysseus was called by Agamemnon and Menelaus to join them in the war against troy.
(lemming642-643) Menelaus was angry about his wife Helen and her betrayal he with his
brother, agameron forced Odysseus to fight with against troy like we see Odysseus was forced to
go to battle which lead to the next stage.
The stage is called the Refusal of the Call is when the hero is going to action when he is
called, but he does not want to go. He preferred not to go to war and fought for and unfaithful
woman (lemming643) he pretended to act insane and acted as he did not recognize his
visitors(lemming643) as we see that Odysseus not want go to in the war but he acts like he does
not see anybody.
The stage Resurrection is when the hero is tested one last time. Athena made him taller,
massive too, with crisping hair in curls like petals or wild hgdcinth but all red-golden (homer
1543-1547:821) she made him desirable for Penelope

The stage Ordeal is what happen in the middle of the story your own house filled
with trouble: insolent eating your livestock as they court your lady (homer 649-650:780) he is
scared that his wife is with someone else and his home is different.
The stage Test Allies and Enemies the hero receives a good or bad thing from a good
person. Zeus disdained my offering; destruction for my ships he had in store and death for these
who sailed them, my companions (homer 512:775) in this line Zeus shows he is an enemy by
disdaining offering
The stage Road Back the hero going back with a reward on his way back home.

situation they are plotting to kill Telemachus. (80) In this line he is finally home , but is
still facing danger.
