In the play, Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare tell about two young star-crossed lovers that
are fated to a tragic ending. Shakespeare creates the story of a love sick Romeo finding his true
love Juliet, but through surrounding characters a series of events occurs that concludes their
deaths. These three people that are held responsible are Lord Capulet, Tybalt, and Friar Laurence.
Lord Capulet, firstly, deserves blame because he was the one to force Juliet into marrying
Paris. Capulet gave her no choice but to marry Paris, this created a conflicted love triangle
between Romeo, Juliet, and Paris. Capulet thought of Juliet as a curse in having her and
pushed her into doing something she did not want (III:V). The wedding plan resulted in a major
time limit for them, giving them less time to find a better plan of escaping together.
Tybalt is the second responsible for Romeo and Juliets death, due to the fact that he
wanted to fight Romeo. Since Tybalt ended up slaying Mercutio, Romeo had no choice but to
decide either [Tybalt] or [him], or both of them must go with [Mercutio] (III:I). If Tybalt
would of let go of the fact that Romeo was a family enemy, then Romeo wouldn't have been
banished. Therefore, juliet wouldn't have to fake her death in order to be with Romeo.
Finally, Friar John is blamed because he failed to send Friar Laurence's secret message to
Romeo. This message contained the plan of Juliets fake death, as a result, Romeo didn't know
friar laurence's plan and believed Juliet to be dead. If the message was received, then Romeo
would not have drunk the poison, ending his life.

In conclusions, all three of these character have a lot of influence for the death of Romeo
and Juliet. Lord Capulet shouldn't have forced Juliet into marrying Paris, Tybalt shouldn't have
picked a fight with Romeo. either way this all ended tragically for Juliet and her Romeo(V:III).

Reflective paragraph
Throught my revisions I focused mostly on my grammar, flow, and evidence. I
found myself rewriting my appropriate words, for example I changed the message got
there to the message was received. With more evidence, I correlated the characters

with the plot in a better manner, which what was necessary to build up my grade in the
essay. With more evidence of why the characters affected Romeo and Juliet, it showed
more of their importance to the story. I rearranged many of my sentences to increase
the flow of wording, especially in the first paragraph. I feel over the years that my flow of
words is what increased the most in my writing skills, it helps very much in finding what
needs to come next in my paragraph.
