MR. ROSELLER C. DEMOLAR

School Head
Liberty Elementary School
Catarman Northern Samar
Dear Mr. Demolar:
Greetings!
I am ANGELA DOMINIQUE T. LOMAGDONG, a graduate student of the College of
Education, University of the Philippines, and pursuing a masters degree in Teaching
Early Grades. I am writing this letter to respectfully apply for study permit in
graduate school. During the last two semesters, I was unable to enroll due to my
appointment with the DepEd as a classroom teacher here in Catarman, N. Samar.
It has always been my ambition to be a full-fledged teacher, and I have worked hard
to graduate top of my class and acquire my license. All the years of self-sacrifice
have at last paid off and I am now able to apply what I learned in college.
I however am not satisfied with just being an ordinary teacher; I want to be
outstanding, an educator fully equipped with the skills and technical knowhow to
make a difference in the lives of the young people I teach. I want my students to
have the best educational foundation possible so that when they move on to the
higher grades they will do so properly and fully prepared.
This is the reason why I want to acquire a masters degree from University of the
Philippines. It is the only institution where I believe I can obtain the best in-depth
training and specialized instruction for my chosen career. I am of course aware that
it is by no means an easy task; in fact my first semester in U.P. was quite an eyeopener. But the prestige alone that a masters degree from this university carries
more than makes up for the many hurdles a student encounters and must
overcome.
I believe being re-accepted will result in continued professional
development for myself, and enable me to further hone my teaching skills.
My experiences in the U.P. system shall always be an important part of my
methodologies, and these will be fully shared so that not only my students but other
teachers as well may benefit from them too.
Thank you and I hope for your positive action in this matter.

Very truly yours,

ANGELA DOMINIQUE T. LOMAGDONG

Student
