10 members attended Organizations include: Veggielution, HealthCorps, California Native Garden Foundation, Edible Urban Farm, Living Classroom, and CommUniverCity.

o Attending a flea market fundraiser and provide starts, resources, and gather community interest o Arrange a meeting, caravan between different campuses and coordinate with the garden coordinator at school to have a guide and pick people up along the way [LifeLab does this in Santa Cruz!] o Involve South Bay schools to be included in the Sustainable Site Initiative, which protects ecosystems in land use o Use a Yahoo Group to distribute email lists o Possibly an online forum to supplement the email list for public viewing o Name: Alliance but described as a network o Suggestion: hold a regional school tour in the spring o Suggestion: needed a workshop to gather maybe a panel to get strong administrative support and see why which schools do not have gardens o Write a grant to host a moderated discussion and address weaknesses in sustainability - must have a source of financial revenue Two goals for the Alliance: 1) Get teachers at the alliance meeting and listen to their needs and discuss challenges 2) Would like to have a tour and connect with more teachers

o Every group members will write a blurb with garden projects and what skills and resources you hope to contribute and include a link to your organization. o Make an updated description of how to support school gardens o Start brainstorming which schools that have active garden programs to collect data from o Work on a rough draft for a Google Form to collect survey data to create an open school spreadsheet: see whos involved with schools and how many hours the garden is worked on and which seasons the garden is active: tracking time, have any tests, sources of income
